Dr. Farah Iqbal, Professor and Chairperson at department of Criminology and Professor of Psychology, University of Karachi; has a Doctorate degree in Psychology. She has been associated with the department more than two decades, also a trained teacher with an M.Ed degree. She also taught at various prestigious institutes such as Pakistan Navy, I.B.A., Zabist, Iqra University, BIZTEK, PAF-Kiets, Commecs College, Commerce and MPA deptt. (at Karachi University). Also she has been the Head Examiner of many examinations. Delivered Lectures, conducted workshops and read Papers, participated in very many Planning, Designing and Formulation meetings at various forums such as Naval HR Center, Air War College, Punjab University, Karachi University, UN Organizations, GOs, INGOs, NGOs and COBs.

Dr. Farah is honored to be the Editor of HEC recognized research Journal “Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities” under Faculty of arts and Social Sciences University of Karachi. She has more than two and half dozen of research papers published in renowned peer-reviewed National and International Research journals. Dr. Farah also published ‘Book on Narcissism’ at her credit Ms Iqbal id in Editorial Board of many HEC recognized Research Journals and a reviewer of International and National recognized research journals. Also member Senior Editors Board Journal of Pakistan Psychiatric Society, Annals of Psychophysiology (APP- AEIRC), Pakistan Study Journal Pak. Study Centre (UoK). Reviewer Journal of Pakistan Medical Association Pakistan, American Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences Research, UMT Education Review (UER) International journal by the Department of Education of University of Management and Technology, Bahria Journal of Professional Psychology etc.             

Ms. Iqbal has been carrying out the responsibilities as Convener, Coordinator, Speaker, Moderator, Judge and Facilitator of International and National Conference, Trainings, Seminars and workshops. Few to mention as Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (UoK) Department of Psychology (Uok) Student Conventions, British Council Students Exchange Programme, Conference for Street Children, International Youth Jam tc.  She also been a UN Consultant. Her interest area is Child Abuse and has many published international reports and a Psychological Manual. She worked with INGOS as UNICEF, UNESCO, UNDCP, ILO, European Union-Group Development, Expect etc, NGOs as Azad Foundation, Pahvna, LHRL, Konpal etc, GOs as Social Welfare Deptt., Disaster Management cell, CDGK, Ombudsman and also with CBOs.

She is a Board Member and Member-BOS of IBS- Dow University of Health Sciences, Member BOS CBM, IQRA University and Jinnah Women University. Board Member of SYMPD-University of Karachi and Commecs / CIBES and Member Managing Committee. Member of Teaching Load Committee Member Upgradation and Validation Committee Member Board of Education Faculty Director Centre for Health and Well-Being – University of Karachi.
