The Palestinian conflict, which began in September 2023, has deeply shaken the world. The war between Israel and Palestine quickly gained widespread attention on social media, and to this day, it remains unresolved. This devastating conflict was initiated by Israel through airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. Since then, the situation has only worsened. Reports have emerged of atrocities, including allegations of Israeli soldiers committing acts of sexual violence against women and young girls and torturing men in the presence of their families, leaving them helpless and traumatized.

It is evident that the Israeli government was not satisfied with merely bombing and attacking Palestine. The aggression has reportedly extended to other Muslim-majority countries, including Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, and Iraq. These actions suggest a broader agenda that goes beyond the borders of Gaza.

As Muslims, we are morally and ethically obligated to stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine, who have been suffering for over a year. The humanitarian crisis is dire: Palestinians lack access to basic necessities, such as food and medical supplies. Despite their resilience and attempts to resist, they face a formidable Israeli military backed by superpowers, most notably the United States. U.S. support has included financial aid, weapons, and soldiers. Many believe that without this support, Israel would not be able to sustain such widespread aggression.

Observers have speculated that Israel’s ultimate goal may be to dominate Muslim-majority countries and position itself as the world’s leading superpower. Unfortunately, the lack of support from influential Muslim-majority nations, such as Saudi Arabia, has further complicated the situation. It is disheartening to note that Saudi Arabia appears to align with Israel’s government, raising concerns among Muslims worldwide.

What Can Be Done?

Despite the challenges, there are ways we can assist the people of Palestine. Some actionable steps include:

  1. Providing Humanitarian Aid: Organizing airlifts of food, medical supplies, and other essentials to Palestinians in need.
  2. Evacuation Efforts: Helping children and families escape to safety, although this must be done discreetly to avoid escalation.
  3. Spreading Awareness: Utilizing social media to highlight the plight of Palestinians and counter misinformation.
  4. Praying for Palestine: Offering prayers for those who have passed, that they may find peace in Jannah, and for the protection of the survivors.
  5. Financial Assistance: Donating generously to support relief efforts, especially given the scale of the destruction.

The scale of the devastation in Gaza is staggering:

A Call to Action for Muslim Nations

Muslim-majority countries must unite to form a collective response. This should include:

The atrocities committed against Palestinians must not go unpunished. Justice must prevail, both in this world and in the hereafter. It is our responsibility to ensure that the Palestinian people regain their rights, their dignity, and their freedom.

May Allah grant strength to the oppressed, place the departed in Jannah, and guide us to stand firm against injustice. Ameen.
